Revolutionary lift for listed and heritage buildings
The Platform Lift Company is delighted to announce the expansion of its product portfolio by distributing Sesame Access Systems – a unique DDA-solution for listed and heritage buildings.
Sesame is a unique lifting platform that is aesthetically more pleasing than a temporary ramp, and which provides a stable and smooth transition between floors up to 2000mm.
The Sesame system works by removing existing steps and installing a pre-manufactured mounting frame, upon which a 
platform lift is fitted. Over the platform lift, a boxed set of Sesame steps is located. The retracting stairs of this system allow both pedestrian and wheelchair access to a building.
To remain in keeping with the existing architecture, the steps can be clad in any type of specified material, including carpet or marble.
The discreet system can be fitted to either internal or external stairs to provide access to a building. The standard stair width of a Sesame system is 1000mm, which can be modified depending on the requirements of the site.
Sesame is a bespoke system, which can be modified to meet individual specifications, while meeting the requirements of the DDA. It comes with a 12-month warranty for total peace of mind.
